Hi every one anyone out there, who ever may have fresh information or a story to do with David Lewis , Koko or Tehirata.as they lived at Clyde 1871 or Kihitu Ngamotu, Please Im not be rude , my whanau and my understanding is that we are not related to well known William Friday Lewis and i cant change the wrong info out there, that includes Tehirata as she not mention in books of his life and family. Getting back to my research anyone who has seen or research this family i would to like hear from you and your story . Have A nice day .

Hi everyone , I apologize for my incorrect info that i have put out there when i started and tried to correct as i have been told once you put incorrect info on these sites , even others who have and start copy each other without your own research ,so has added to all the other trees and crated a new family tree for the wrong family because we didnt know or research how .
Anyway as I cant fix any of these paid site or trees to get new info I have stopped adding .
This is my whakapapa , research and theory. Based on many hours and documents.
I am a descent of Lewis whakapapa on both sides of my parents, My tupuna or descents are David Lewis and Tehirata they lived at Kihitu Wairoa. Part of my research has taken myself to many areas , so i like to add that my tupuna are not related to the well documented Captain William Friday Lewis , his first two wives (not Tehirata) there are many books written on this family, no mention of Tehirata.

Tracing my whakapapa has been a hard the more I think I found not even.
Now what I have found on these two people are hear say, Maata Te tuku Te Waharoa one way of spelling last name, the other way Whararoa????? I think she was born in Otorohanga Waikato as I had only found out theres family land again hear say. Next person Tawi Lewis wife Tapapa Tahuri Tinimene I think this is how it is spelled.Getting the right spelling is not easy. If anyone can help with the spelling or help in anyway please contact me, I do have some info to compare with.

I did a post yesterday but spelling of Maata last names was wrong. More info for Maata , Maata Te tuku Waharoa born 06 Feb 1904 in Otorohanga Waikato, died 1952 Te Reinga , married Manapouri Lewis 1923.I might know this info on Maata but I cant find any records on her or last name. I need to have my info correct before adding to tree. Is it Maata last is Te tuku or Te Waharoa or both help put me on right track thank you.

I have been on this research for a long time and now I have made some progress in my search for Maata Te Tuku
but still need confirmation as finding records for her is hard. I know Maata Te tuku married Manapouri Lewis of Wairoa plus hear say that Maata Te Tuku is from Otorohanga Waikato, New Zealand and she has land there. Unsure as I cant find records on her name Maata Te tuku or Wharoa I think that's the spelling.
Is there anyone who knows or research her or seen a record and can put me on the site.

What are the link to the above surnames,i know they are related ,from Gisborne and Nuhaka how dose the link go?

As its known i have been trying to find info on my family,now i am hopping that someone can correct me here true or false William David Lewis 1867-1955 parents are from Gwehellog Monmouthire Whales,if so could this be them David William Lewis 1835, wife Mary birth 1843,Davids mother was Catherine Lewis birth 1759.
